Yellow - symbolizes wealth that is a product of work, for a nation for which the economy is important in order to promote culture

Yellow is also considered the color of art, storytelling and understanding - mainly because Senegalese teachers wear yellow shirts

.Red - is the color of blood and therefore the color of life, as well as sacrifice for the nation

.It also symbolizes the determination to invest in the development of the country
